So the hardcore modeling challenge is over I’m glad to have finished my entry in time too. The idea was to make a self-portrait based on a well known sculpture or a painting. I have chosen one of my all time favourites – James Tissot’s The Fireplace. In the end time didn’t allow for a wicked XSI render so I remained within Zbrush for the entirety of this exercise. Here are the final images – I’ve changed the fireplace a bit, replaced the dog with a cat but otherwise tried to follow the original concept. I hope you’ll like the result
